About TwoCut Tools

TwoCut Tools makes small, practical calculators for people planning hands-on projects. This site focuses on one question: where should the vertical strips go so a board and batten wall has even openings?

The tool turns a measured wall span, actual board width, and target clear gap into a board count, individually measured positions, and a simple diagram. It works in inches or centimeters, with tape-friendly inch fractions. The worked pages show the same arithmetic on specific wall sizes, so you can inspect a complete layout before changing your own inputs.

How the result is checked

We use the board widths and the number of empty spaces to account for the full span. Both boundary arrangements are tested with fixed arithmetic examples, including fractional measurements and metric conversions. The code keeps unrounded positions until display. The visible sixteenth-inch marks are approximations, not a promise of that precision on an uneven wall.

What this site does not measure

We cannot inspect your wall, trim, outlets, or stock boards. We do not calculate structural capacity or automatically route battens around openings. The material total covers equal-height vertical pieces only. Confirm those assumptions before using the table as a cut list.

Free to use

No account or subscription is needed. We may support the site with Google AdSense in the future; no advertising code is installed in this release. The calculator operates in your browser.

If a result seems wrong, please include the dimensions, unit, and end-board setting when you contact us. A reproducible example helps us check the same layout.
